Attention Deficit Disorder Clinic

The Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) Clinic is staffed by a pediatrician and a psychologist. ADD and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder are puzzling disorders affecting children, adolescents and adults.

Frequently the affected person:

  • has a short attention span

  • fidgets

  • is impulsive

  • may be disorganized

  • has difficulty staying with a task

  • he or she often becomes frustrated and restless and may find it difficult to relate to family, peers, teachers or co-workers.

Prior to evaluation, the patient and family provide the clinic with information about the symptoms.

A computerized test is administered and a trial ADD medication is given. Then the test is re-administered. Results are given to the family doctor or a mental health professional for subsequent treatment and/or counseling.
