Counseling Resources hours are from 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
.
Individual Therapy The staff works with people of all ages in making changes within themselves to better manage the problems of daily living. Therapists help individuals with problem solving, making attitude changes, increasing self awareness, improving communication skills and improving relationships.
.
Family Therapy When an individual in a family is having difficulty, the entire family is affected. Some of these circumstances may include stress of changes, loss of a family member, behavior problems in an adolescent or a younger child, domestic violence and other abusive situations. Miller-Dwan's staff deals with the family system as a unit and helps family members make the changes necessary for them to function better as a family.
.
Adolescent Therapy The special problems adolescents have today call for unique solutions. Special skills are necessary for healthy emotional growth. These skills are taught to children, addressing issues that might delay development. This outpatient program offers treatment for adolescents who are facing abuse issues, depression, self-destructive behaviors, behavioral disorders, relationship conflicts and family stressors.
.
Older Adults Detection and early intervention to prevent mental health problems is often difficult. As a result, many older adults are not treated until their problems are severe and require aggressive treatment, sometimes providing additional hardships. This program is aimed at early intervention, promoting awareness of mental health counseling and obtaining early treatment for older adults.
